nnMy seven year old Pembroke Corgi, Finn, is allergic to almost 30 items with brewer's yeast, soybean, flaxseed, and egg being the bigger culprits which make buying food a big hassle (as you know, most dog foods contain these items).
nnHe was on Science Hill Prescription Diet Low Allergen for most of his life when Science Hill decided to discontinue the line. He can't eat any of their other lines because they contain one or more the ingredients that he is allergic. Unfortunately, so do all of the other prescription based diets (IAMS, Royal Canine, etc)
nnI looked at many store-brands but they contain too many ingredients and while we did try RAW food diets, they ended up in too many disasters (I won't go into details). A local pet store owner recommended Honest Kitchen and the only one that seemed possible was Thrive.
nnWe have been on Thrive for the past five months and beyond the first three weeks of touch and go, it has been a rousing success. He LOVES it! He runs to the kitchen when I'm mixing it. We have had no issues. The 4lb box lasts us a month - give or take.
