Little Frankie was dumped in the coyote infested hills, with a bad ear infection and fleas. Some kind people found him and tried to find his family. After 30 days of fostering him, they started to find him a new family. I saw his adorably poignant picture as a cross post on social. I thought he would make a good friend for my Aussie dog. I reached out to his fosters and set up a meet and greet. To my shock, he was 10 pounds. So tiny. However, my Aussie girl fell instantly in love. There was a small "incident" regarding boundaries inside the home, so we set up a 5 day home trial. After one day, I also fell instantly in love with this little white dog. I was his 5th placement in less than 30 days. It wasn't hard to figure out why as he had some rough edges. My big girl was so happy to have a friend and everyone settled in. On January1, 2020, little guy became deathly ill from IMHA. We almost lost him. However, the treatment plan worked (it was terrible in some many ways) and he survived and thrived. The two dogs became a team and part of my extended family. Sadly, early this year, the big girl became sick. She was 14.5 years old and stopped eating. In desperation, I ordered Wholemade Turkey from The Honest Kitchen in order to tempt her to eat. I had to say goodbye to her before the food arrived. However, now, little Frankie loves this food. I placed another order of it for him. I don't know how old he is as I have had him in my life for 12 years and he was an adult when I adopted him. I feel the food from the Honest Kitchen has given him great joy and wonderful nutrition. Plus, the customer service staff are so caring and compassionate. I love the Honest Kitchen and so does my dog.
