Freya

Freya / Nearly 2 years ago I met the love of my life. I had just started the training to become a pet trainer at Petsmart and while I love my fella's dog (Loki) I really wanted a puppy of my own. Someone to share that unique bond with. I told myself on the way to the shelter that we were just going to look, that I absolutely was not bringing home a puppy today. Little did I know. Once I looked into her deep soulful eyes I was lost. On the ride home she fell asleep in my arms and I knew right then and there that she was mine and I would do anything to give her the best in life and protect her from harm. Like most new pet parents I went first to a big box store to find things for my puppy, I bought the best puppy food they had. But what I didn't know was that my puppy couldn't have regular kibble, that they high glycemic grains and starches make her break out in yeast infection after yeast infection. So we had to learn and grown and experiment and go to little specialty pet stores where the employees actually are educated in pet foods and could help us find products that are right for my particular pet. And that's how we found Honest Kitchen, and we love using their foods from drinking a warm nourishing broth after a snowy walk, to making pupcicles Freya and I love their products. I only wish they made more varieties that were low glycemic as Freya can't eat potatoes or certain grains in high doses. Their supplements though have saved us! The ProBloom is Freya's favorite and in my opinion it has helped her intestine bacteria to grow and for her to be less susceptible to her allergies. Freya is now nearly 2 years old and an absolute joy for everyone she meets. I love her so so very much and it is so gratifying to know that the promise I made to her when she fell asleep in my arms on our very first car ride, that I could keep that promise and give her the very best in life.
