Gracie

Gracie / This is my sweet Gracie. She is approximately 6-7 years of age and I've owned her for 4 years now. Gracie was found in rural Tennessee where she had been hit by a vehicle, given birth to a litter and upon intake was tested heartworm +. This poor dog had really been through a lot. As a result, she has a permanent limp and head tilt. Gracie tested positive for ehrlichia and due to the nature of this disease, my vet put her on a coarse of antibiotics. Within days, she grew lethargic and anorexic. We stopped the antibiotics and a few days later she began to have these fits where she would start compulsively eating objects like blankets and toys. Several years of trips to the ER vet and 1 major stomach surgery to remove bedding from her intestines, we were able to determine that she has a severe intolerance to antibiotics. She now is being treated by a holistic vet who referred me to the Honest Kitchen food. Gracie is allergic to many grains, corn, and chicken products so we are on the turkey grain free and she is doing incredibly. All of her nutrition is right where it needs to be, according to her vet. Thank you so much for creating a product that I feel confident feeding to my already needy dog, who I am pretty confident, eats better than I do.
