Hagrid

While working at the shelter, I became very fond of the gentle giant pictured. He had been at the shelter for three months with little to no interest. Mostly, because he was heartworm positive and adopters don't typically come to the shelter looking for a sick dog. The three months he was at the shelter I would always make an extra stop to say hello and give him a treat. I finally convinced my husband to come up and meet him and it was an instant connection. We took home that day. Not long after that we found out Hagrid was in heart failure due to his heart worms. He has been in our lives for three years now and hopefully many more. Honest Kitchen has been a God send for our busy schedule and multi-dog household.
