Hayley

Hayley / Hayley, a great dog that we found alone and scared at our doorstop 15 years ago is a joy to be around. She is loyal and loving since the first day. She has gradually lost her vision over the last few years ago, and we were worried about the quality of her life. She surprised us and as long as we don't move any furniture around and keep our shoes off the floor and out of her way, she manages very well. Then she started to lose her hearing about a year ago - she was still playful but since her favorite pastime of watching and listening for animals and critters, sitting at the big window was not to happen again, we work to engage her with her favorite toys and lots of massages to keep her in good shape and feeling good. At one point we considered doing what no dog lover even wants to utter the words- as we thought she was unhappy and had a poor quality of life. She sleeps alot now, and gets joy when attention is garnished on her- but her absolutely new favorite time of the day- is when she gets her 2 meals a day of Honest Kitchen Food.

nA friend had brought me a sample not long ago and I reconstituted it and put it on her old food- I couldn't believe my eyes watching her eat- and then push the bowl around the room till it was cleaner than if I washed it in the dishwasher.
n
nHayley has found her joy- twice a day- she runs down the hall at set times- she knows quite well 7am and 530pm- and patiently (well kinda patiently) waits in the kitchen till she feels the vibration of her bowl touching down on the floor. Then what can only be described as the dance of bliss , she eats her food and does the bowl event till she is exhausted and then proceeds back to bed for her nap.

nThanks Honest Kitchen for making Hayley smile again !
