Jenny

Jenny / We adopted Jenny from PAWS in March 2015. We started by feeding her what they fed her at PAWS and she ate that for a while, then got sick of it and wasn't excited to eat (what dog doesn't go crazy for food??). We tried a couple other foods, but Jenny never really liked them all that much. She started scooting after a couple months and we had to have her anal glands drained (sorry, gross) once or twice a month. We asked our vet and looked online but didn't find a whole lot of useful information other than putting some pumpkin in each meal. Then in July my on vacation, my sister introduced us to Honest Kitchen food that she feeds her cat. We decided to try it out, first mixing it with her food, then only using the Honest Kitchen food. Jenny LOVES it! She gets excited for every meal and eats faster than I can pour a bowl of cereal in the morning. She has more energy, she's always super happy, and best of all, she hasn't scooted since the summer when we changed her food. It was her diet change that really helped! We like to switch up the foods every day and have a couple different styles on hand so she isn't eating chicken every day (although she doesn't mind). It's great that we have a selection to choose from for Jenny and I know she appreciates it as well! If you are worried about the price, keep in mind, I was spending an extra $30-60 a month at the vet to bring Jenny in to have her anal glands drained. Instead, that money goes to food to keep her happy and healthy!
