Jessie

 Jessie / Jessie is a 12 year old lab/viszla mix. She had always had issues with ear infections and started having issues with arthritis in her hips and knees when she was 9 years old. She was almost 10 years old when I switched her from kibble and canned food to Honest Kitchen. When we x-rayed her hips at 9 years old, the vets I worked with were all very impressed that she could stand and run on them. We've always been active and up going for a 5 mile off leash hike 4-6 days a week was the norm at that point. The latest x-rays we took (3 years after the original) say her hips aren't progressing all that bad! She is slowing down in that we usually only do 3 miles 4-6 days a week now, and instead of a 10 mile weekend hike, we only do 6 miles. If my 12 year old dog can make it 6 miles on those awful looking hips, we're doing something right!
nShe has not had an ear infection since switching her food. She had chronic bladder infections as well and those have, for the most part, gone away as well!
