Jumbo, as you can maybe tell, has struggled with his weight. As a vegan, I'VE struggled with feeding Jumbo food with animal products in it. After trying several brands that offer 'vegan' options of dog food, without success (too much grain, not balanced enough, Jumbo just plain didn't like it, etc.) I was afraid I'd have to sacrifice my ideals in order to feed him well, because he got to the point where he wasn't interested in eating, and it became a chore for him. Well, that was until Marc at The Petstaurant, in Sherman Oaks, CA, pointed out The Honest Kitchen's 'Preference' dehydrated plant-based food. By mixing 'Preference' with some homemade lentils (as a protein source), I've got Jumbo interested in eating again! As soon as he smells the 'Preference' absorbing water and filling out the bowl, he comes running! And trust me, 70lbs of Bulldog, only 1. 5 feet high, running at top speed is a sight to behold! 'Preference' has given Jumbo and me a way to make us both happy at meal time. Thanks!
