Kayak

My senior fella Kayak left us last summer after 16 years full of joy. When he was 10 his kidney function started to decrease, and after doing some research I switched him from a high end kibble to Honest Kitchen dehydrated turkey. His kidney levels remained relatively the same throughout the rest of his life. He had a bout with cancer and had surgery at 15, and recovered faster than the vet predicted, and we got to spend almost a full year with him after that. Everyone complimented him on his luxurious coat, bright eyes, and he happily ate every single THK meal he was ever presented, even when he was ill. I credit THK with some of his longevity, and am grateful for the time I shared with him. 10/9/2004-8/10/2020
