I adopted Latt� five months ago from Rescue. She is a wonderful companion, but I noticed she was having lots of scratching and issues with the food she was eating (Merrick). When I'd feed her, she'd sniff it, walk away and leave it untouched. She'd only eat it if she was nearly starving and when she did, she'd gag like she was about to throw up and she was constantly scratching. I thought it may be fleas, but she's on Trifexis and gets regular grooming and brushing----no fleas noticed. Apparently, the food was causing her to experience skin allergies. I switched her to Honest Kitchen (Preference Base Mix) and her scratching and irritations appear to be a thing of the past. She eats twice daily. I add boiled chicken and I use the broth from the chicken to replace the water. She eats immediately as soon as her food bowl is given to her and there is never a drop left over! She LOVES it!
