Lucas
Border Collie — Age 15
This is 2014, when we were struggling to feed him.
Here he is in his prime. I think this is 2006
This is my boy as a baby in the Summer of 2000.
This is just a few weeks ago at the beach!
Hiding in Dandelions
This is my boy Lucas. He's the best good Border Collie that ever was! As he started getting older, I noticed he was having a harder and harder time getting kibble down. Sometimes he'd choke a little. After a bit, he started throwing up his meals. With vet guidance, we switched to canned foods - but he had terrible digestive issues. For nearly 6 months we struggled with canned and bland diets, and unfortunately, things were going very badly. Then the vet recommended Honest Kitchen. We started Lucas on Force and he changed before our eyes. Digestive issues settled, his eyes shown brighter. He has idiopathic vestibular disease as well as cognitive dysfunction, but the Honest Kitchen diet turned back the clock for Lucas, and he's better than he had been in a loooong time. We are so grateful for this extra time with him. If it weren't for HK, I know we would have had to say goodbye.
Pictures are a bit of a timeline with my pup. In the summer of 2000 as a baby. In his prime around 2006. In 2014 when he was starving and struggling to eat. And just a few months ago at the beach!
Thank you, Honest Kitchen. You've given us the best possible gift - more time.
With Love,
Heather James & Lucas
