Mickey's previous owner believed that he had damaged his leg and couldn't afford to take him to the vet. When he finally emerged from his carrier at the clinic we were horrified. At 3.9lbs he was unable support his own weight and stumbled weakly into the wall where he tumbled to the ground. He was being fed Cesar brand wet food and I was absolutely livid - the remaining trays his previous owner provided hit the trash can and he was immediately hand-fed HK, along with hourly electrolytes.

nWe took him in February 5, 2013. Tomorrow will mark his 2 month Gotcha day! Thanks to HK Mickey received his very first vaccinations & a much needed neuter early March. One would never know that this lively, energetic, HEALTHY little Chihuahua was facing life or death mere weeks ago.
