All True Stories
We adopted our 2 year old male kitty Milo in November from a local shelter. After a lot of research we decided to feed him Prowl from The Honest Kitchen. I liked that it was raw and had human grade and mostly organic ingredients. Also compared to other raw brands this was more affordable. I also liked that he would be getting more water in his diet with this food.

nWhen researching types of food to feed our kitty I found that it was important to feed cats a wet diet as they get the majority of their water from what they eat. I had also read that male kitties are prone to kidney problems and urinary tract problems and that this can be mostly avoided with a wet food diet. In addition to getting him on a wet food diet we also got him a water fountain to encourage him to drink.

nA few months ago I was concerned that Milo had a urinary tract infection so I took him to the vet. (Long story short he actually never been neutered and that was the cause of his odd behavior.) When they did check his urine the vet said he was very hydrated and that his urine test came out really good. At the vet visit he had also gained 3 pounds from our previous visit in November. When we first got Milo he was very thin he only weighed 6 pounds. He is still lean but weighs in at a more healthy 9 pounds.
