Yipe! Milo would cry every time he tried to stand up. He was only 9 months old when he was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. His bones never formed a joint correctly and he was handicapped from birth. At 10 months, he had stem cell surgery. The vet took cell cultures from his shoulder and injected them into his hips, which forms cartilage to act as a joint. That helped a ton, but he still has pain. It's hard to lift yourself up when you are a 115-pound dog! We found The Honest Kitchen and oh, goodness! Eating it as little as once a week makes a difference in his activity. Milo definitely feels better when eating real, raw foods and THK is the perfect food for him. He loves every bite, treat, and supplement! He rarely yelps while getting up, and never does while eating The Honest Kitchen. I wish I could afford to feed it to him every day! As an added bonus, it never contains corn, wheat, or soy, which are all common allergens. (Milo is allergic to wheat.)
