Monsta

Monsta / Monsta was a tiny kitten (less then 3 ounces) brought to the vet clinic where I work. He was hypothermic and listless. I held him wrapped in a heating pad the entire day, only setting him down when I had to assist a vet. That evening I brought him home, no one felt he would make it through the night, but I had to try. I used a 1cc syringe to feed him, every two hours around the clock.....for 4 weeks! Three people were interested in adopting him but when it came time to decide who, I couldn't let him go! He's a gorgeous, 12 lb cat who acts more like a dog. He runs to the door to greet whoever is there when he hears the door bell ring. We have to put him in the bedroom when repairmen are here, he won't leave them alone to do their work. I raised a very friendly, confident cat-son! He sleeps on me every night, he really thinks I'm his Mom. Unfortunately he had a cardiac episode in August, 2015 and barely pulled through. He was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. I try not to think about it, the long term prognosis is poor. I wanted to improve the quality of his food and decided THK Grace was the best product for him. Switching him from his previous diet to Grace took a little effort, he preferred Prowl, so I gradually mixed in a little Grace, increasing the amount every couple of days. He loves Grace now and will eat it no matter how much water I mix it with which gives me the added benefit of keeping him well hydrated. I use spring water instead of tap water to avoid the added floiride in municiple water.
