Mr. Soups

I've had the pleasure of being Mr. Soups pup parent for the better of 6 years. Soups is the best companion and has always been an extremely adventurous dog. He may be tiny, but he is mighty! We've traveled across the country together, camping in along lush riversides and kayaking coastal waters, he hasn't missed a beat. About two years ago, Soups was slowing down. I immediately took him to his vet and expressed how unlike him this all was. Mr. Soups left the vet diagnosed with acute pancreatitis. I immediately started researching, knowing his food could potentially be life-threatening now. Soups has exclusively been on a strict higher-end dog food brand, no table scrap diet since adoption, which led to hours of research on what could be wrong. I found The Honest Kitchen and decided that this would be a great place to start his necessary changes. His health certainly didn't change overnight, and I had a little trial and error, trying to find what THK food would be the best for his lifestyle. Soups is now going strong on one year of Zeal. I haven't had to worry about any emergency flare-ups. Zeal, with a sprinkle of the dehydrated goat's milk over his food, has done wonders for him! Soups is back to being his active self, which means back to hikes and running around the garden!
