Nala
We were introduced to The honest kitchen recipes because the previous owners of our house shipped a bunch of boxes by mistake here, though we tried to send it to their new address this didn't work and we ended up keeping the food, though we had no dog yet. About 6 moths later, we adopted a 7 year old lab mix and we started to try the food. It was the grain-free fish recipe, and the first she had it threw up. Granted she was brand new to us and was very nervous, for a while she seem to not like it much but after couple weeks she was eating it happily. We gave her this recipe in the morning and kibble at night. Once we finished the boxes of food, we gave her kibble only and we noticed how much her poop changed. It was really hard, and she was straining. So we looked the brand up and decided to try the whole grain chicken recipe, because it was more affordable (we like the idea of grain free but we it's more expensive and we give her grain free kibble). She really liked the chicken recipe right away! Not sure if it's because she was used to wet food already or she prefer it to fish. We feel good giving her a more balanced, and fresh nutrition than just kibble. I don't care about the human grade, though i wish these recipes used humanely raised animals, and sustainable producers as well.
