Nutmeg, my beautiful pure breed gold/white/black Shih-Tzu,has been eating Embark for 3.5 years. When she was a puppy and I brought her home at 12 weeks with the recommended food but soon after saw a segment on the Food Network where they were interviewing the founder of THK and talking about the food and how it was made in a 'human grade' plant facility. Well I went right out and bought it. Once she could smell it she was hooked and would lick the spoon I used to mix it up as she paitently waited for me to put the bowl down. Now as she has grown, she is more picky and I thought maybe she wanted a change, as I noticed she wasn't running to the bowl as much and eating some now and some later. Of course, I did realize if I had supplimented her that day with pieces of fruit, popcorn, steak or cheese she was more likely to pass by her bowl for what what was on my plate. But still I thought maybe it was time for a change. So I tried other 'high end' kibble and dehydrated food. Well she would just about faint before really eating any of it. From Grandma Lucy, Nutrisca, to Wellness brands she wasn't having it. I even tried to switch to another HK flavor, Zeal and she polietly took a snif and walked away. So Embark it is.
