Ozzie
n
nLong story short, I found a holistic vet in town, and (though skeptical) gave it a shot. After just two sessions of acupuncture and chiropractic, Ozzie was bouncing around like he had when he was a young dog. I was dumbstruck, and extremely grateful! As you can imagine, this holistic vet became someone I really admired and respected, so when she said I needed to change Ozzie's diet from the high-quality kibble I was feeding him to something homemade, I happily made the change. I started making batches of food with poultry meat, beef liver, kale, parsley, whole cooked eggs, blueberries, bananas, quinoa, ground flax, carrots, spirulina, and all kinds of other good stuff. We called it his leprechaun food, since the spirulina made it a pretty green.
n
nFast forward a year and a half, and I still make Ozzie's leprechaun food. But it was getting to be extremely time consuming and costly to maintain, so I asked the beloved vet if she recommended any other dog foods I could use to supplement the leprechaun food with. I wanted to cut back on it, but didn't want to sacrifice the quality and nutrition he was getting. Her first response was, The Honest Kitchen.
n
nI did my research on the different products, and am nearing the end of our first 10-pound batch. Not only does Oz gobble it up, but he's doing just as well on this food as he has on my leprechaun recipe. His stools are the same, his coat is still in great shape, and, most importantly, his mobility is still fantastic.
n
nWe're super happy with The Honest Kitchen's Revel, and Ozzie gives it an enthusiastic two paws up! :)
