Piper

Piper was rescued from an abusive situation at about 18 months of age. Her coat was thin and had a very rough, coarse texture. She had multiple Lick Granulomas on her legs. I tried multiple supplements, medications and different foods to relieve her itching. Her weight ballooned up to 113 pounds before we discovered she was hypothyroid. Starting her on thyroid medication helped with her weight, but the skin and rough, thin coat issues continued. I wanted to try a raw diet, but was afraid a homemade raw diet would not be nutritionally complete. I researched online and decided to give The Honest Kitchen a try. Within a month I could see and feel difference in her coat texture. Her Granulomas were completely healed within two months and her weight loss continued nicely. Her coat is so thick and soft and her weight is down to a nice, trim 78 pounds. Her veterinarian regularly comments on her beautiful, thick coat and is very happy that her weight is now in a healthy range. German Shepherd Dogs are notorious for shedding heavily, but since changing to The Honest Kitchen I have seen a tremendous decrease in the amount of shedding.
