Spoiled Dog!
When my dog was a puppy, he was dx with Anaplasmosis, a tick borne illness. The vet wanted to put him on a regimen of strong antibiotics but I declined, he wasn't actually having symptoms and I wanted to do some research. This led me down a rabbit hole of nutrition in order to keep the immune system boosted up. Dry kibble, no matter how organic, natural or otherwise advertised is not real food. So until I could find another good species appropriate food source I was buying beef stew meat, chicken and other beef on sale at the store. I couldn't keep up. Then a friend told me about a plant that made raw dog food that was an hour away. So I switched to this raw blend. I had to drive an hour each way, every 6 weeks and then spend an hour or more packaging it up, freezing it for his meals. It was quite smelly and disgusting looking, but I wanted to feed him real food. Until we decided to go on a two week road trip earlier this summer. I decided I was done dealing with the raw food, the time consumption and the entire bottom section of my freezer being used up. I started researching dehydrated dog food and The Honest Kitchen had the best reviews, the most happy customers so I gave it a try. I knew my dog would love it, he loves food, whether it's an apple, carrot or part of my salad prep. I am so grateful I found the Honest Kitchen, no more road trips for dog food, the fast delivery is amazing! And I love the organic ingredients, and the balance of meat and veggies. Plus the prepping for 2-3 days is so easy, no more time spent in my freezing garage in the winter!
