All True Stories
Our dog Red(man) is a 12 year old Golden Retriever who had started to limp badly and slow down across the board. He has twice had cancer (and beat it), heartworm and is missing most of his teeth from an unknown event that happened prior to us rescuing him (at age 8). After being checked out for arthritis (he had some, but nothing major, yet) we started him on pain killers and nerve pain reducers. However, because of his age, we really wanted to give him less medications. We consulted with a vet who specialized in diet adjustments and holistic care, and switched Red over to Honest Kitchen food, doses of the homeopathic Arnica and high grade fish oil. The difference has been amazing. His limp has disappeared and his energy level has visibly increased. He has also lost weight and takes stairs much better than ever before. We also started feeding Honest Kitchen to our 6 year old Newfoundland mix, and he has also lost weigh and become more energetic in only a few months. We could not be happier with how this diet change has helped both dogs, but it has been the most pronounced in the 12 year old Red who now regularly throws himself on his back in the grass just to roll around and be happy. Thank you!
