Rigbie

Rigbie / As a vet student, I am bombarded with information from pet food companies trying to pitch their products in hopes that I will feed my dog one of their foods and eventually encourage my future clients to as well. While there are plenty of great quality dogs foods out there (and some not so great), in an ideal situation I would be able to feed RIgbie home-cooked meals that were fully balanced and full of nutritious ingredients that I hand selected. With my schedule and limited budget, I am unable to accomplish this. I attempted to find an equivalent alternative but was unable to do this with most dog kibble foods, particularly due to the list of preservatives and other additives. I looked into raw food diets but had a difficult time with attempting to manage keeping the diet completely balanced and dealing with raw meat.
nI was shopping with Rigbie at a boutique pet store near my house one day and saw a shelf with The Honest Kitchen food and sample packets. I decided to take a few samples home and see if Rigbie would like them. Before I was able to actually try the samples, Rigbie decided to open the packets and feast on the mix while I was at school. Since he seemed to enjoy them without being fully prepared, I decided to look into The Honest Kitchen. I was very impressed by the product line and the videos. I emailed some questions and received responses very quickly. I was also offered some larger sample boxes to make sure that RIgbie would enjoy the food before I made any large purchases.
nNot only does Rigbie love the food, he appears to be more satiated than he ever was on any of the previous dog foods he has eaten. I do tend to feed him on a small calorie deficit because I tend to 'over love' him with food and want to avoid him putting on too much extra weight. I am so excited by this that I am also going to try some of the other products in addition to the food. I am so happy to be able to feed Rigbie a food with such quality ingredients and not completely empty my bank account.
