In March 2007 we rushed Shadow to the hospital. She was not eating and began to throw up blood. The next morning we woke up to a massive dog food recall by MenuFoods. Shadow was in the hospital for 4 weeks and Rusty for two. Sadly Rusty was too old and week to survive. After bringing Shadow home, we were afraid of all foods on the market.

nI called the Honest Kitchen and explained my concerns. The were so understanding, They sent us a package with sample foods and a list of all the ingredients and where they came from. In June 2007 we were finally able to start giving Shadow real food after having a feeding tube in for several months.

nI am happy to report that although she does have long term side effects from the damage that Shadow is doing well and she loves her food! It was a long road and I am so lucky that I was able to find a company who cared for our family member as much as we do.
