Shilo

Shilo / Shilo has had digestive problems for years. She has been rushed to the doggy ER so many times for bloating I've lost count. This past year Shilo had surgery to remove the contents of her stomach after she had an episode of bloat and ate a throw rug and so much grass that it had balled up in her stomach and wouldn't pass. The bloat had continued for several years and ended in Vet visits about every 3 -4 weeks as she suffered with gas. The Vets had no answers and my heart broke for her every episode she experienced. I changed her kibble to can, added Pepcid and GasX to her diet, even tried the anti-gas supplements from the pet store. Nothing helped. Finally, the night before Shilo was to go in for Hyper-Parathyroid surgery, she had another episode. My husband and I watched as her stomach filled up with gas and expanded before our eyes. She began having trouble breathing and was in obvious agony. Back to the ER. The Vet decided that while she was in surgery for her Parathyroid they should attach her stomach to her abdomen to avoid the possibility of twisting. We agreed. After the surgery, I began cooking a bland diet of a protein (chicken or hamburger) and rice or pasta. She had no energy, her poops were runny and she still experienced episodes of bloat although they were not as frequent. Finally I was reading about raw diets and dehydrated foods. The Honest Kitchen... I can't thank you enough!!!! Shilo has been on FORCE for about 2 months and she has been doing FANTASTIC! Her poops are solid, everyone is commenting on her renewed energy level, no bloat, no more trips to the doggy ER and amazingly, the trembling that she had in her hind legs is gone. I have no idea what the connection is to the trembling, but all I can say is You are what you eat! I own a doggy daycare and I love your products so much, I now sell THK and recommend it, with pride to my clients!
