Sophie

Pit Bull — Age 1

Sophie and her cat buddy Oliver

Sophie and her cat buddy Oliver

This is my girl, Sophie. Sophie was found wandering the streets of Phoenix at only 4 months old. Starved, dehydrated and suspected of just surviving distemper, she was immediately placed on the euthanasia list at the county pound. An incredible local rescue called M.A.I.N. (Medical Animals in Need) pulled her off the list and sent her to foster. 3 weeks and 10 pounds later, I adopted my baby girl. She still had a long road of recovery from her near starvation & depleted immune system. A few weeks after getting her, she started developing mange, her toe nails were in bad shape from malnutrition and she had teeth issues from the distemper. After just a few months of Honest Kitchen food, Sophie is now thriving. At the county pound, she weighed 11lbs- she's now up to 59!!! We love our chunky little pitbull girl and are so glad that Honest Kitchen was able to give her all her good health.
