Stanley and Zoey
Stanley and Zoey are Sussex Spaniels. The Sussex is an old breed of dog, bred in the 1800s in England to hunt in the hedgerows. They are massively built, but near to the ground (I.e. short statures) They are a beautiful breed of dog, but are considered vulnerable (rare), the breed nearly died out after WW2, there were 5 dogs total left in the world. From these 5 dogs the breed was rescued from the brink of extinction, but because of this they have issues with a limited genepool. The biggest problem (besides being exceedingly difficult to breed/whelp) is that they suffer from allergies. Zoey has more allergies and digestive issues than Stanley, she suffered from almost constant diarrhea despite us spending a fortune on every food available. I finally began cooking their food, it was time consuming, and challenging to make sure that they had adequate nutrition. And then I found honest kitchen! Hallelujah! Stan and Zoey eat the Keen food, with grain. They have allergies to numerous grains, but Keen doesnt contain wheat which is their biggest trigger. It has been a godsend, where previously to eating homage, they had terribly skin and coat condition, on both homemade and now Honest Kitchen, their coats are almost perfect. They still receive weekly allergy serum to keep their itching down, but gone is the dry, flaky skin they had on the other commercial foods. I really should receive a commendation for the numbers of people Ive put onto HK food, people are so impressed with how Stan and Zoey look that Im constantly giving them the link to this website. The food is impressive, I will never use anythings else, ever again - and thats the honest truth.
