Sunny is our 12-year old Shih Tzu, and for most of those years he's been eating Force from the Honest Kitchen. While our eldest dog Shyla (almost 15 years when she passed) was in her decline this spring, I was cooking for her everyday, and decided to feed Sunny and Luke the more convenient dry dog food for the duration of Shyla's illness. Months passed, and things seemed to be fine, until Sunny started to lose weight, became extremely nauseated, vomited from time to time and lost his hearing. After thousands of dollars spent in diagnostic tests, Sunny was diagnosed with irritable bowel disease, loss of motility in his stomach and neurosensory hearing loss. He is still on medication for the gastric conditions, and he's also back to eating nothing but Force. His condition has improved dramatically; he has gained back his weight and he has regained his hearing even though I was told the hearing loss was total and would not return. Recently I gave him one can of low-fat dog food, and the next day he started to become symptomatic again, even while taking medication. Years ago I swore off feeding my animals extruded dog food, and broke my promise to myself during a time of duress. Never again. There is just nothing to compare with the Honest Kitchen's food, and I've tried everything, including frozen raw, other rehydrated foods, and so-called prescription diets. For quality ingredients and good pet health, we are Honest Kitchen customers for life.
