Sydney Lee

Australian Shepherd — Age 7

On a visit to our local shelter, after the death of my beloved dog, Bambi Lee, I saw a sad dog sitting in the back of the cage, when I petted another dog in the front of the cage. As I turned to walk away, the sad pooch ran up and licked the back of my leg - a behavior that my deceased dog would do to catch my attention. Immediately I turned and the sad face of the dog warmed my heart - then and there I decided to adopt this dog. The dog turned out to be an Australian Shepherd female about 18 months old, but with a condition of heartworms. With the help of our vet, and great care and patience, the sad dog named Sydney Lee, is now a healthy rumbustious mistress of the house. However, to keep her weight in check, we are also looking for a good quality food and the Honest Kitchen food has taurine, which helps Sydney Lee maintain a healthy heart.
