Taz
Pit Bull — Age 3
Taz has mega esophagus and must be fed in a special chair
I can't express enough how happy we are with our decision to switch our dog to The Honest Kitchen!! He was diagnosed with mega esophagus, secondary to autoimmune disease Myasthenia Gravis (grave muscle weakness in Latin) , last year and we nearly lost him to aspiration pneumonia as a result of regurgitating dry kibble that his esophagus can't move to his stomach. He's now in remission from Myasthenia Gravis, but he has permanent mega esophagus as a result. We've been through so much this past year trying every consistency of food. The grinding of dry kibble soaked in water overnight is time consuming and just overwhelming, coupled with all the other care it requires to care for Taz's special needs. I found your food and thought I'd give it a try with Taz and he LOVES it! I love that I can add the amount of water to get the consistency Taz needs, which changes often depending on how he's tolerating. So far, so good! He's had no regurgitation and he's tolerating the food very well. This is huge progress for Taz. I'm going to share our success with The Honest Kitchen with my canine mega esophagus support group family. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
