Thyme

Vizsla — Age 11

Thyme was diagnosed in July 2012 with a Cranial Nerve Disease and at that time I decided to start feeding her a raw diet along with a very conservative vaccine program, supportive supplements, acupuncture and Chinese herbs. At the time of diagnosis, we were uncertain she would be here at Christmas 2012. This photo was taken a couple weeks ago...it's now April 2013 and although it takes her a few days to recoup, she still lives for her runs on the farm. Some adjustments have been made around the house to accommodate her frequent episodes of vestibular issues and inability to see in the dark very well, but she is still the happiest dog I've ever owned and greets me at the door with a tail wag and a toy. Happy Thyme!!

nOctober 11, 2013 update: Thyme fought her battle with CND and a diagnosis of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia for over a year with virtual little issue. When her quality took a turn, I decided to let her go and she left earthly life on September 11, 2013....the day I now honor her as my hero. She wagged her tail until she passed.....and I kissed her and promised we'd meet again.
