In March of 2016, my husband and I had the worst scare of our lives. Titus, our 18 month Cane Corso, woke up from a nap in a seizure. It was the first time we had ever encountered anything like it. After rushing to the Vet's office they drew blood and we left to monitor him for more seizures. Within 10 minutes Titus went through a second seizure and we turned around back to the Vet's where they were waiting to keep him for an overnight to start him on Phenobarbital (the same medicine humans take for seizures). As they took Titus back, he went into his third and final seizure within a 3 hour time period. After that day, our lives as dog parents changed forever. I did plenty of research on what we could do to help him through this, even looking into Acupuncture. Titus had previously been on the Grain Free Base Mix, when we transitioned from Raw feeding, but that still added up financially and we switched back to Acana and then Orjien Puppy Large when we got our second Cane Corso. Titus's Epilepsy continued to worsen and with his medication had some pretty bad side effects such as; severe loose stool (I mean nothing hard at all), decreased energy, and decreased to no appetite at all. I began doing more research again and decided he was time to go back to The Honest Kitchen and see what they had to offer again. I loved the results previously and new I wouldn't be disappointed. I chose to go with the Love, Grain Free Beef Mix. It's suitable for Puppy and Adult dogs which works perfectly for both of our pups. Since transitioning, Titus has solid poop every time. His mood has improved and he literally devours his food. Our little pup Otus loves it too! I could not be happier with The Honest Kitchen. For the results and long term effects we have seen, this product is worth every penny to help save our Titus.
