Toto

Toto / Toto had a very rough beginning to her life. She and her sister, at three days old, had their throats cut. They were found in a dumpster and taken to an animal hospital for surgery. Fortunately, they both survived. Toto found her way into our lives through our vet, who was trying to find a home for this special needs little girl. (She also suffered seizures after her first vaccinations and needs medication to suppress their reoccurrence. And her rear leg has a tendency to become dislocated on occasion.) He told my wife to bring her home for the weekend to see if she would be a good fit. My initial reaction to this long-haired mutt was less than positive. Her appearance reminded me of the dog in The Wizard of Oz-hence the name. But she won me over in the first few minutes of that weekend and has become a blessing and an irreplaceable member of our family. In an effort to provide the very best care for our baby, that same vet recommended the honest kitchen dog food. Since we started feeding Embark to her, she has tremendous energy, a shiny coat, and, dare I say, healthy bowel movements! Life, sometimes, can take surprising twists and turns, and Toto's arrival is, definitely, one of the best things to happen to us!
