Tyler

Doberman Pinscher — Age 11

Our boy Tyler was diagnosed with Heart disease of February this year. Luckily we had caught it nice and early, so with medication he started to feel a bit better. Sadly though only a few months after that he bloated, full torsion. Again we spotted it soon and rushed him to the emergency vey. By 1am he was in surgery and by 3am he had come round, they had to remove his spleen but told us his stomach was still ok. And then, just for fun, he was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism one week after that. So the poor boy has been through the mill this year. Anyway, since his surgery he has suffered with terrible gas. We didn't even consider it was his food as he has a habbit of getting into things he shouldn't! A few weeks ago I took him to the vet as he was in pain with his gas. When x-rayed his intensities were full of gas. The vet prescribed Gas x and sent me home. Seeing him so depressed I took him off his kibble and fed him pasta and eggs for a few days. No gas. Interesting. We then purchased one of the top and most expensive kibble brands, the gas came back almost immediately. We tried different protein sources and grain free, with grains, everything, nothing helped. I then was talking to a friend about Raw, it made sense, however my boy was very sick on raw, I think it was just too rich for him. So then she told me this box of honest kitchen Revel had been donated to her and she'd never used it but she was happy to let Tyler give it a go. Wow, what a difference. He LOVED this food, it was so easy to make and so digestible for him. We are still getting a little gas, so I have just purchased the Beef recipe as I am now thinking chicken may be a problem for him but already he is not in pain anymore in the evenings. It's all trial and error but I must say I am amazed by this product and refer it to everybody I know! Even my foster Dobie pups new owner just put him on Honest kitchen after weeks and weeks of diarreah and it cleared up immediately (I must get her to write a story too! Lol) Some people are often shocked at the price, but when I point out how much food it actually makes they are more shocked about that! Lol
