Wick

Wick /

Wick was diagnosed with a bladder infection and bladder stones after we noticed he kept needing to pee often in the night, which was unusual for him. The vet prescribed antibiotics and a high fat prescription food that was meant to dissolve the struvite crystals in his urine. After starting this food he began vomiting bile, first every once in a while and then progressively more - until he wouldnt eat anything two weeks later and was having extreme digestive discomfort - it turned out he developed pancreatitis. After staying at the vet on IVs he was released to us with instructions for different prescription food that was bland/easily digestible. At this point we did some research and found that a low fat diet was best (and I wanted him on something healthier, which I knew the ingredients were safe and fresh). This is when we found the fruit and veggie mixes, which I am able to mix in low fat proteins that are fresh and prepared at home. Since being on this food for over a month and a half Wick has had no more pancreatitis attacks and he also has not had any bladder issues either. We are very happy to have had this option!
