Yoshi was listed on Craiglist at around 11 months old. Previous owner did not want him anymore as he was starting to act out and not listen. When we first brought him home, he was not a good dog. He did not want to be near us and never wanted to be touched. He ignored us and stood by the door for about a month. As the months went by, he became more curious about us and would always watch us. After about a year, he started staying in the same room as us but never close. If we were on the bed, he would be outside of the room but his head would be inside the room- just enough space to run away if he felt like it. After many years, he started jumping on the bed to lie near me but never touching. Now, he is such a cuddle monster- he will ram his head against me to get pets. He wants to be as close as possible and cannot get enough love. Being a shiba, he does not always want attention but when he does, he is very stubborn and will cry until he gets it.
