Zeke came to me as a foster with a sensitive stomach that turned out to be serious GI disease. His internal medicine specialist prescribed a kibble that had a list of ingredients that no one could pronounce. Once he was stabilized (it took a ong time) I wanted to give him a better quality food. Because his health was so precarious, I worked with a veterinary nutritionist. The Honest Kitchen was the only commercial food she would recommend. He was allowed a very limited number of prescription treats, so THK was almost the only thing he ate. Fortunately, he loved it! Zeke succumbed to his disease much too young, but I'm sure feeding a good quality food gave me more time with him than I would have had otherwise.
