Had that sweet smell

"My dog was ready to taste them, even while warm. It was easy to mix & for my 1st attempt I did use baking cups, making more of a muffin. I've ordered some cute dog treat molds & will try thinner treats, where I won't have to break them apart. I also shared with my neighbors pets & they both dusted them off fairly fast. I trust the ingredients & ease & still have 3 more bags to play with. Thanks"

Q&A

I have been a loyal customer since you first opened...3 dogs ago. After enduring Cushings with 1syt dog,2nd dog 6 yrs diabetic & blind, gallbladder mucocele, and sudden diet related dilated cardiomiapathy due to lentils in diabeticdiet for 6 yrs& congestive heart failure. Then lost his sister 3rd dog, 3 weeks after from cancer metastasis throughout her lungs. I nor any of my vets had any idea she was sick, even with wellness checks every 6 months. To say I'm devastated 💔 is an understatement. My dogs have always love your dehydrated meals and clusters, although the clusters were too high in fat for a diabetic with pancreatic history. BUT, I can no longer in good faith feed anything containing peas, potatoes, lentils, legumes or high volume sweet potatoes. Would you please consider making an option for those of us that have lost our beloved dog to diet related DCM dilated cardiomiapothy PLEASE!!!
Hi Michele, Were so sorry to hear this, although our diets are not prescription, we do offer a few options for pups with extra sensitivities. We generally recommend our Grain Free Fish diet, any of our limited ingredient recipes, or our Fruit & Veggie base mix (which requires you to add meat as a protein source). You can find out more about each of these recipes here: Limited Ingredient Recipes: https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/collections/shop-limited-ingredient-dehydrated-dog-food Grain Free Fish: https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/products/dehydrated-grain-free-fish-dog-food Fruit & Veggie Base mix: https://www.thehonestkitchen.com/preference Given how popular the our recipes have become, it's only a matter of time before we start expanding our line with a variety of proteins! Although we don't have exact release dates yet, our team is busy perfecting new recipes, using a variety of different proteins and ingredients. I'll be sure to send over your request to our product development team.
