"I had heard about The Honest Kitchen food for dogs and cats many years ago and just thought the food was an overpriced fad. I didn't give it a second thought and kept feeding my cat other brands. Well, I recently heard from an an acquaintance that she wished she could afford THK food for her cats because it is one of the best. So I went to the website and gave it a second look. All the ingredients in the Cate line are all-natural and human-grade, of course, with high levels of protein. As it turns out, that particular day there was a last call sale (60% off), so I took a chance and made an order of Salmon & Turkey Cate. When I first served it to my 20 year old, I have never seen her eat so fast! She scarfed it down and wanted more! I could tell that she could tell a difference from the previous food I had been feeding. The pate has a pleasant smell and light, smooth consistency, unlike most of her previous foods. That, to me, signifies a superior quality cat food. Human-grade ingredients matter, and I really appreciate THK's transparency with the foods' nutrient profile.
