At what temperature are these chews dehydrated?

Hi Elizabeth, Thank you for reaching out to The Honest Kitchen. I hope you are doing well. Unfortunately, the exact temperatures and cooking times of our products are proprietary information. However, what I can tell you is that our dehydrated recipes are made at much lower temperatures than traditional methods for making pet food call for. Extruded kibble diets are made at up to 500° F range, whereas on average, dehydrated pet food brands use temperatures around or below 200° F. Our meats, fish, and eggs are gently steamed at about 165F before being dehydrated to make sure they're safe and free of any pathogens without the use of harmful irradiation. Our leafy greens are also steamed in a dry-steam process, which occurs after dehydration, as a food safety measure. All our remaining produce is dehydrated below 104F and is still considered raw after the drying is complete. Our potatoes and grains are flash heated (and rolled in the case of our grains) to help break down the cellulose, which aids digestion. They are then gently dehydrated to remove the moisture. **Treats:** Our treats, like chews and biscuits, are baked or air-dried at similar pathogen-eliminating temperatures.
