LillyOther (dog) — Age 9
Seven and a half years ago, I rescued a shih tzu/pomeranian mutt named Lilly from a high kill shelter one week before she was scheduled to be put down. She was about 2 at the time and had been living on the streets before the shelter took her in. I fell in love with her immediately. About 3 years ago, Lilly started constantly itching. I was feeding her what I thought was high quality dry food. I finally ended up taking her to a holistic vet who recommended Honest Kitchen. She said Lilly probably had food allergies to the food I was giving her. She said Lilly was also about 3 pounds overweight, which is a lot on an 18 pound dog. Within 6 months of giving Lilly Honest Kitchen dehydrated whole grain chicken food, she had lost 3 pounds and no more itching! She loves the taste, and I'm so happy to be giving her human grade food (I even tasted it once)! The 10 pound box makes 40 pounds of food and is actually cheaper than a 30 pound bag of the supposedly "healthy" dry food I was giving her before. I alternate between the whole grain chicken and whole grain turkey dehydrated food. She's loves both. I will never switch from Honest Kitchen.
