Long ago and far away a bony little waif with a very rough coat was spotted at the shelter. Something in this dog's level, confident eyes said, "Hey. You. Take a chance on me." And so began the saga of Anja, the wild little Wonder Shepherd. The cast off who travels to 5-star hotels, joins us on 5-star restaurant patios, and of course, eats Honest Kitchen.
Along with being skin and bones, Anja had a very rough coat; quite wiry actually. Really awful to touch. She was also suffering from significant itching, ear infections, goopy eyes, hot spots, hinney issues, and digestive issues. Of course we knew that was all likely diet related and we were right.
We tried various kibbles, but Anja would pick, sigh and walk away. We could leave kibble out all day and it would go mostly untouched. We could not get weight on her because we could not get her to eat. A friend told us about Honest Kitchen and clean eating. We tentatively put down the first bowl of Honest Kitchen Embark and our little waif did not come up for air until she had licked a layer of stainless steel off the dish. Woo Hoo!
Today this muscular little dynamo competes in agility and canine nosework. Her bunny soft coat is quite cuddle-able. Itchies, ear infections and eye goop are a thing of the past. And this is probably TMI, but we have achieved perfect poop ;) Her digestive issues are a thing of the past.
Anja LOVES Embark, Beams, Nuzzles, Pecks, Smooches, and Wishes. Beams have to be her favorite.
