HariChinese Crested — Age 5
I adopted Hari, a hairless Chinese Crested, about 5 months ago. He was neglected and had been unsocialized and kept in a cage 24/7. His health had not been maintained and being a Chinese Crested he has some ongoing health issues. His teeth and gums were so bad he could not chew his food. He had severe acne and had a skin infection and also had worms. His skin was painful to the touch. After a great deal of veterinary care he was getting better. His skin however would not clear up and his stools remained dark and abnormal. He continued to be lethargic and had anaphylactic reactions. The vet suggested that a natural diet was the only choice. I found The Honest Kitchen dog food while researching how to create a natural food with all the nutrients he would need. It was difficult. I thought this dehydrated food would be great if it worked. Hari loved it immediately and would lick his bowl clean. He is a different dog now. His skin is almost completely clear. His stools are perfect according to the vet. He runs and plays now like a crazy little dog! There have been no more reactions and he just looks healthier. He is on the grain free Zeal food. We travel a lot and this is just so convenient to take along. You take it in a small bag and just add a little water. No cans to bring along or bags of hard dry food. This has really made a difference for Hari.
