MurphyCavalier King Charles Spaniel — Age 10
My 10 year old Cavalier King Charles, Murphy, has long had a problem with itchiness. At first I suspected it might be a flea problem, but it never was. After months and ultimately years of being on preventive treatments, trying different allergy medications (per a vet), decreasing his number of baths and using oatmeal shampoo when he had them, even occasionally rubbing coconut oil on him afterward, I saw that all my efforts had little if any effect. Then I discovered the honest kitchen. My interest was peaked about this new kind of dog food, and after seeing on the label and website that it's been proven to help with itchy coats, I decided to give it a try. After about a month of feeding him the grain free chicken and the grain free turkey recipes, I have seen a dramatic improvement - and not just in Murphy's itchiness. He has more energy, is more excited about meal time, and is even less food aggressive than he has been in the past. Even neighbors have noticed his spritely liveliness, commenting that he, "seems like a new dog." I'm very happy with the honest kitchen and would recommend it to anyone with a dog prone to obesity, food aggressive, coat problems, and even dental issues. Cavalier's are known to enjoy a good meal, but because these recipes have relatively low crude fat percentages, and because it's helped spike his energy level, Murphy has actually lost weight. I'm a very satisfied and happy customer, with a very happy and satisfied dog.
