Rhett has had colitis for at least 2 years then surprisingly presented with pancreatitis over a month ago.
The food he was put on just wasn't working. At least once a week his stool was very soft, watery or turned to just mucus. What a worry until I found The Honest Kitchen. Chris suggested that I try VERVE
because it had a low fat content which was prescribed by both of Rhett's vets (regular vet and holistic vet).
It worked!!! I converted Rhett to Verve within a 3 weeks time as suggested by my vets. Rhett has had NO problems with colitis or pancreatitis since the conversion. I can tell a difference in his demeaner as well. He can't wait to eat when I'm preparing his food. He has more energy and his eyes sparkle now. I can see that he really feels good. Words cannot express how happy and relieved I am. If only I knew about The Honest Kitchen sooner. His food is so easy to prepare - I just add water (reverse osmosis), mix, let set 5-10 minutes and serve.
I like the fact that it is certified as human grade by the FDA and no more worrying about heat spoilage from transportation or guesswork in quality.
I am now converting my other two poodles to The Honest Kitchen menu - probably FORCE. Since the last food problem, my little one would not eat without a lot of coaxing and hand feeding. He likes FORCE and will eat it by himself even after having to be hand fed for the preceding three months.
Thank you Honest Kitchen for helping our precious pets.
