My 6 year old female shiba named Sachi has food allergies. I got her from a breeder who was feeding her a dry food that contained chicken and grains. Sachi had no problems with the food up to the time she was 2 years old. I noticed that she was getting ear infections and was constantly scratching. I could see that she was feeling miserable so I took her to a vet who said that it was fleas and to put her on a flea medicine. I did that but she was still itchy so I took her to another vet and she said that she has environmental allergies and to give her allergy pills. Sachi's scratching was getting so bad, neither one of us was sleeping through the night. I was getting desperate so I went online and contacted some shiba owners to find out what I should do. Someone told me that their shiba had similiar issues and that it could be food allergies. As soon as I took her off chicken and grains, she got better quickly. Her ear infections went away, her itchy skin is better and she also lost some weight which the vet said that she needed to lose. She is so much happier and is more active. My family and friends have noticed a huge difference in the way she looks and acts. She has been eating the Fish Honest Kitchen for about 6 months now. She loves it and it's easy to travel with.
