I frequently volunteer to foster kittens, so I have a lot of turnover in my house. That means a lot of cat furniture being eaten up and beaten up. I have a nearly endless supply of cardboard, and I bet you do, too. So let's put that cardboard to use before you send it off to the recycling!
Lay the box on its side and tape up the flap on the bottom to keep the bedding materials inside.

How to Make a DIY Kitten Bed

Honestly, it's ridiculously easy to make a bed for cats out of cardboard. Open box, put some bedding in, walk away: instant cat bed! All you need is at least a knife, some tape if you want, and some bedding. For fewer parts flapping around, cut off only one long flap and half of the smaller flaps below it. Or just open the box all up except for one long flap. Tape down everything else. Put bedding inside the box. Watch those cute furballs have a blast! If you don't have any cardboard laying around, we can ship you some! When you buy any of The Honest Kitchen's cat food, we send you a cardboard box—completely free!
