- This is awesome, the individual packaging makes it easy for when I have a sitter watching my dog. Literally no worries I will continue to buy these just for that and use regular boxes for when I am feeding my pup. He loves the Honest Kitchen!!
- I got Arya from a rescue group in May of 2017. She was 7 weeks old . Just a little bundle of fluff! I work at a vet's office and my doctor put her on a high grade food. From the beginning, it was a struggle to get her to eat. I tried everything! We tried lower grade foods, canned food and still no luck. She would eat for 3-4 days and then turn her nose up at it. The vet, thinking something may be wrong, ran several blood panels, and did x-rays. They turned up nothing. She was just a picky eater. I came across one of the cups in a Pet club and thought I would try it. She gobbled it up like she hadn't eaten in weeks. I bought 2 more because that was her M.O-eat for a few days and then walk away. Nope, she LOVES it! She is 11 months old now and for the first time has become a regular eater. I am truly delighted with your product and so is Arya! Thank you!
- My dogs love this food. I love that it's easy to prepare, provides a healthy, nutritious meal, and will be great to use when travelling in our RV. While it is relatively expensive, their health is of primary importance, and hopefully will result in a longer life and fewer trips to the vet.
This continued for seemingly a long time. I contacted Honest Kitchen; they told me, honestly or not, that they had never heard of such a thing from the owners of dogs who loved this food. Finally, for lack of an alternative, we stopped Honest Kitchen. Went to Call of the WILD dry kibble. Anal sac problems disappeared.
That said, Tootsie was an allergic type dog (as we found out later) and this was really nobody's fault. Honest Kitchen did disappoint me in telling me that they had never had such a complaint. I have a hard time believing that. (But then I have also had difficulty with anyone who calls themselves "Honest". Where I might not otherwise be suspicious, I do become so.
Now, 8 years later, we have a 1.5 year old Yorkie who easily poops half her weight in a day. Maybe more. It is incredible! We have exhausted most avenues...which leaves us with FOOD.
So why am I back at Honest Kitchen? I know this is quality food; it was simply not to be for my Tootsie. However, at this point, Honest Kitchen might just save my life. I am ready to try again. Look out, Abby!
Wish us luck!
(One star from my Tootsie, for whom this food was not meant. Two stars because of my hopes for Abby!) Stay tuned...
This food was recommended to me for my Mini Schnauzer. My friend had two of them and she highly recommended Honest Kitchen. For us, it was a disaster! Although my Tootsie LOVED it and always devoured her meals enthusiastically, she began to have problems with her anal glands. It got to the point where we had to go to the vet tech every two weeks for expression. They kept telling me I had to change her food; I kept telling them that she was eating a very high end food, and I was sure this could not be the culprit.
- My dog didn't want to eat his kibbles,he is a picky eater, so I came across with Honest Kitchen, order the 2lbs box to try, and he loves it ! and noticed he doesn't have loose stools anymore. So, I'll continue to feed him honest kitchen
