My dog Harley has a

"My dog Harley has a sensitive stomach. This formula is helping with his G. i. Problems very well. He loves it and seems to be happy at meal time. I also love that there is help when calling in to ask for advice. The staff at Honest kitchen has been very accommodating. The vet also wanted Harley to lose a few pounds since he is a senior dog large breed. This plan has also helped with taking off a few pounds and keep my love healthy. Thank you Honest Kitchen for all of your support to get Harley back to feeling good."

Perfect Low Fat Food!

"My dog has had severe GI issues since she was 8 weeks old and was ultimately diagnosed with an inability to digest fat. I have been preparing a homemade diet based on a veterinary nutritionist’s advice for years. It takes a lot of time and my dog is a large dog. Now I have found this food and it, along with the homemade diet (1/2 and 1/2), has really made a difference for my dog. And it’s so easy to prepare. Thank you for this!"

Great as All the Rest

"Once again, I’m amazed at how much my dogs like fish flavored food. The dehydrated whole grain fish and oats is no different. If they didn’t stand to above my knees and didn’t weight north of 60 pounds, you’d swear they were cats the way they inhale fish flavored food! Mixes like the rest and is ready quickly. I will likely stay on this flavor for a while and will most certainly buy again."

My Puppy Loves Honest Kitchen

"My Bernedoodle loves the dehydrated food from Honest Kitchen. She’s a really picky eater and I switched her to different brands of food. We even tried Farmer’s Dog for a while but she didn’t love it. Once I switched to Honest Kitchen, she literally eats her food in seconds. Never leaves anything in her plate. She has a delicate stomach but this food so far has been great for her. Highly recommended it!"

Aslin R. (5/5)

So far so good!

"Only received a few days ago, so I really can’t say too much. So far she does not like it as a topper on her other food however she loves it by itself. Pretty expensive so I’m really hoping it helps with her allergies. She is a goldendoodle who gets secret hotspots and this recommended by my groomer who was a vet."

Britt W. (5/5)

Happy Frenchies!!!

"My frenchies love this!!! I use it as topper and mix it in with their dry food and they can't seem to get enough of it. They both really enjoy mealtime and tap their bowls asking to be fed. Frenchies tend to have sensitive stomachs/issues with digestion but they have no problems with this."

Pup Paradise

"This is by far the best we've tried from Honest Kitchen so far! Our dogs coats look incredible after they've been eating this as a topper with the clusters. They are always excited to eat and gobble this up. Keeps them super regulated too!"

Honest Kitchen is the best!

"I never cease to be amazed at the care, work arounds and quick thinking of the staff!!! There has been NO issue of quirk that they have not thought out and solved for me. Managing three dogs with very different needs and requirements has not been an easy task, Yet the honest kitchen staff solve it every time! And graciously and always making it affordable! MANY THANKS!!!!"

Hi, I have bought a box of Dehydrated Fish & Oat for my dog to try out and she LOVES it! My question is if the 3400 cal/kg information on the box refers to that amount of dry food (meaning, before it is re-hydrated): I would assume it does, but would appreciate a confirmation. Thank you!
Hi Stefano, Yes, that is correct! before it is hydrated. Hope it helps!
I am just wondering why this food is not a Senior dog recommendation?
Hi there, All of our complete and balanced recipes will be formulated by AAFCO's standards, either for adult maintenance or for all life stages. Recipes that are formulated for all life stages must have higher levels of nutrients for them to cover everything that a puppy needs. Recipes formulated for adult maintenance according to AAFCO standards are generally recommended for adults with moderate activity levels and seniors. Recipes formulated for all life stages, according to AAFCO standards, can be fed to puppies, adults (whether highly active or not), and seniors. However, since these recipes often have higher levels of certain nutrients (calories, fats, etc.) to benefit puppies and highly active adults, they're often a better fit for those life stages in comparison to less active adults or seniors. For this reason, we would recommend the adult maintenance recipes for seniors and not active adults since they're likely a better fit for pets who aren't expending as much energy. Seniors and less active dogs do sometimes eat our "all life stages" recipes, and active adults can often do well on "adult maintenance" recipes if they're getting the appropriate amount of calories. However, it should be noted that puppies shouldn't begin the "adult maintenance" recipes until adulthood. I hope this helps. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I am happy to help! Enjoy the rest of your day.
My dog always seems hungry when I feed dehydrated whole grain fish and Oat. When I feed her more, she gains weight. Has anyone else had this issue? Has anyone e
Thank you for reaching out to us! I completely understand what you are dealing with. I have the same issue with 2 of my dogs. They get complete and balanced meals daily, however, if I allowed them to eat as much as they want to, they would both be blimps. There’s no clear-cut cause for why a dog might be obsessed with eating. It could stem from a psychological issue, such as stress or learned behavior, or possibly an underlying medical issue. We always recommend having something like this checked out by your vet to weed out any other issues. Alternatively, it is said that a high fiber diet can be beneficial for dogs with voracious appetites. The best recommendation I can give you is our Dehydrated Grain Free Turkey recipe. It has the highest fiber content of our products to hopefully help your little one feel more full at the end of their meal.
How many cups are in a box?
Hi there, Thanks for reaching out to us! There is 16 cups in a 4lb box and about 40 cups in a 10lb box. Hope this info helps!

Find your dog's daily feeding amount using the feeding guidelines.

Divide that amount by the total dry cups in your chosen box (see below).

Example:

A 30 lb dog with an average activity level is recommended 1 dry cup per day.

If you purchase a 10 lb box (40 dry cups), it will last 40 days.
